Football is a semi-competitive team Arcade game where two teams play a game of football (or soccer). It is one of the few games that requires a custom resource pack to play, adding custom textures and models for the ball and decor. Football was released to the Arcade Games on June 26, 2016.^[1]

Gameplay

Up to 10 players are split into two teams, the red team and the blue team. For four minutes, each team tries to score as many goals as they can, and the team with the most goals wins.

Controls

The ball can be "dribbled" and somewhat controlled by running or walking into it. It will move in the direction you are looking, and its speed is determined by how fast you ran into it.

The ball can be "kicked" by punching it with left click. Fire particles appear around it when someone kicks it.

Double jumping is also enabled allowing players to hit the ball while it is in the air.

Trivia

• The trail of particles following the ball will be different based on which team last hit it.
• A different message is displayed if someone scores on their own goal. (<player> scored on the wrong goal! 0 - 0)
