Speed Builders is a Build Battle game mode where players must replicate a pre-made build from memory as accurately and as quickly as possible. It was released on November 5, 2024 as a beta mode in the Build Battle lobby^[1] and was fully released on February 19, 2025.^[2]

Gameplay

Players each have their own island with a 7x19x7 space to build. At the start of a round, a build is shown to all players layer by layer, and they have some time to study it before it gets removed. Then they are given the exact amount of blocks used in the build and have to replicate it from memory.

Once the building time runs out or all but one player completes their build, the original build is displayed at the center, and the "Judge Dragon" judges everyone's builds. The player with the least accurate replica is eliminated. If everyone gets a perfect build, the slowest will be eliminated. The dragon destroys the islands of players who are eliminated or disconnect. Ties, such as when two players get the same accuracy, are broken ^[Confirm?].

The difficulty of the builds increases throughout the game, starting from SIMPLE and ending at INSANE. The given difficulty of a round is determined by the remaining players. The last player standing wins the game.

Playing games and placing in the top three grants Build Battle Score.

Trivia

• Some blocks do not need to be oriented completely correctly for them to count as correct in Speed Builders.
  • Stairs, for example, must be placed on the correct block half and within 90 degrees of the correct orientation.
