PVP Run is a fast-paced TNT Game where players try to survive as long as possible on a floor od disappearing blocks and fighting other players. It is similar to TNT Run but with the added twist of PVP being enabled. It was released on December 2, 2015.^[1]

PVP Run is unlikely to receive any more major content updates as Hypixel is satisfied with the state of the game.^[2]

Gameplay

As with TNT run, players (up to 12 or 24 depending on the map) spawn on floors made of sand and gravel and supported by TNT. After a brief delay, blocks the player runs or stands on will disappear or "fall," and players may fall down to the next floor or to the void if they fall through the lowest and final floor.

After a few moments of grace, PVP is enabled and players are able to hit each other with their swords. Kills are awarded if a player directly kills someone else or if they knock them into the void.

The goal is to be the last one standing which gets progressively more difficult as the space available diminishes.

Items and Abilities

Each player is given double jumps and potions to help them survive, and getting kills also awards some useful effects/enchantments. Before the TNT Games update in March 2024, these items and double jumps needed to be purchased with TNT Games coins. All upgrades were made free as having to buy upgrades didn't incentivize new players to continue playing and work towads getting them.^[3]

Double Jump

Double jumps can be activated by either double tapping the jump key (default: space) or right-clicking the feather given in the player's hotbar. Double jumps fling the player in the direction they are looking, helping them to jump large gaps, save themselves from falling, or even move up to a higher floor. Each player gets 11 double jumps.

Speed Potion

Splash Potions of Speed (speed potions) are used to give players a temporary speed I effect which is useful to chase player or jump large distances, especially nearing the end of the game when blocks may be far apart. Unlike TNT Run, speed potions do affect both the person who threw it and other players.^[4] Each player gets 3 speed potions.

Slowness Potion

Splash Potions of Slowness (slowness potions) are used to give the players a temporary slowness I effect which is useful to gain control of movements when the game may seem too fast. Unlike TNT Run, slowness potions do affect both the person who threw it and other players.^[4] Each player gets 3 slowness potions.

Regeneration

Upon killing another player, the player will get a few seconds of regeneration to heal up after a fight.

Notoriety

Upon killing another player, there is a small chance that the player will gain a level of sharpness on their sword, making it easier to get more kills after.

Fortitude

Upon killing another player, there is a small chance that the player will gain a level of protection on their armor, protecting them from attacks by other players.
