This article concerns a minigame or feature on the Hypixel Network that has since been removed.

Helpers were volunteer staff tasked with assisting players with questions or concerns they might have on the platform, along with moderating and reporting player actions. Helpers were tagged with a blue [HELPER] rank on the server and a blue "HELPER" frame on the forums. On August 9, 2021, the Helper or Moderator volunteer positions were officially discontinued, and the ranks can no longer be obtained or applied for.^[1]

Permissions

Helpers maintained the perks of their original ranks, meaning a Helper who originally had the VIP rank would still only have the VIP rank's perks on the server. Helpers also received some extra undisclosed permissions to help with moderation. Helpers would always show on the player list in lobbies, and they could not be added to a user's ignore list. Helpers had the ability to mute people for 1 hour.

Application process

Before it was closed and eventually removed, the Helper rank was obtainable through a volunteer application for players who met the requirements. These requirements were as follows:

1. You must be at least 16 years of age
2. You must have a donator rank
3. You must have TeamSpeak and access to a working microphone
4. You must not be a staff member or owner of any other server

Additional stages were also involved past the initial application, including background checks and interviews. If all of these were passed, the submitter would potentially become a Helper in a Helper promotion wave.
