This article concerns a minigame or feature on the Hypixel Network that has since been removed.

The Administrator (Admin) rank was a staff rank on the Hypixel server which was granted to all employees who took on administrative responsibilities. This rank provided extensive access to server commands and network permissions, allowing them to perform critical tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the server. It was removed on April 24, 2025.^[1]

Some of the roles and skills defined within the rank included community and staff management, customer support, video production, and game design. They also specialized in various technical areas, including network and minigame development, website development, and anti-cheat development.

Global perks/permissions

All the perks and permissions of the Admin rank are not publicly listed or available, so this is not an exhaustive list. The permissions given to admins may vary depending on their job/role on the staff team such as backend infrastructure access, access to XenForo permission in managing the forums, Zendesk ticket access for customer support, etc.

Removal

On April 24, 2025,^[1] the Admin rank was amalgamated with the Game Master rank to form the Hypixel Staff rank.

All current employees of the server were retroactively given the Hypixel Staff rank, with their existing staff rank being removed. Their roles within the staff team remain the same however, with the announcement post stating that the change was purely cosmetic.
